Dragon Scales Nail Tutorial

Halloween is the perfect excuse to don yourself in scary costumes but that doesn't mean forgetting to dress up your nails as well! With the Sistaco nail system, you don't need a lot of effort to create spook-to-inspire nails. In fact, all you need is the Deluxe Set...and dishwashing liquid??  

Yep you read that right! The Dragon Scales are made up of bubbles set under the LED light! Truly an inventive and inexpensive way to create scarily-good Halloween nails!

Three nails powders were used - Sepia Classic, Shamrock Metallic and Raven Metallic.

Here are the steps to achieve the creative Dragon Scales nail art:

1. Apply the base coat and set under the LED lamp.
2. Apply the powders of your choice to your nails.
3. Apply the top coat.
4. Top your nails with the bubbles.
5. Set under the LED lamp.

Cool Halloween nails in under 10 minutes.

Spider Web Nails By @Youbeautynails

Is it even Halloween without the abundance of spider web nail art? It’s so cute, bright and adorable without losing that spooky season feel!  

1. Apply the base coat and set under the LED lamp.
2. Dab the nail powder (Fall)
3. Apply the top coat. Set under the LED.
4. Create a Peru gradient on top as the sparkly accent.
5. Apply the top coat and set
6. Mix the top coat with Satin nail powder and paint the "cobwebs"
7. Apply a top coat and set.

Blood Dripping Nails By @Huda_bilalq

This nail art will send chills down your spine! The stark difference between the Satin and Sangria powders revealed a realistic dripping blood effect. A true Halloween treat!  

1. Apply the base coat and set under the LED.
2. Put Sangria nail powder.
3. Dab Satin nail powder. Apply top coat and set.
4. Mix Sangria with the top coat and create a "dripping blood" design. Apply the top coat and set.

Pumpkin Nails By @Nailsunchained

Let’s carve out some fun! The glistening pumpkin nail design will steal hearts this creepy season!  

1. Apply the base coat at the tips. Set under LED.
2. Mix Black Pearl with the top coat.
3. Paint the pumpkin stem. Set under the LED.
4. Apply Rust nail powder.
5. Put the top coat and set.
6. Paint on the pumpkin ribs using the Black Pearl mixture.
7. Apply the top coat for the last time and set under the LED.

Glowing Cat Eye Nails By @Nailsunchained

This nail art is purr-fect for Halloween - it’s so easy yet eye-catching! The green and black combination will surely scare the living daylights out of you.  

1. Apply the Black Pearl to your nails using the Classic application method.
2. Mix Shamrock with the top coat.
3. Paint the eye.
4. Mix Black Pearl with the top coat and paint.
5. Set under the LED.

Subtle Halloween Stitches Nails By @Shazrocha

With the Sistaco nail system, there’s absolutely no need for stencils to show your love for Halloween nails. All you need is to mix your desired colour with the top coat, and a small brush or even a tooth-pick to re-create this favourite Frankenstein stitches creepy-yet-cute manis!  

1. Apply the top coat.
2. Rub Shamrock hard to the nails.
3. Add the top coat and set.
4. Mix Obsidian with the top coat.
5. Paint the "Stitches".
6. Set under the LED lamp.
